This reinforcement method is called dynamic compaction in the industry, and is mainly suitable for coarse-grained soils with a particle size greater than 0.05mm, such as sand, gravel soil, mountain skin soil, fly ash, miscellaneous fill, backfill, low-saturated powder Soil, clay, slightly expansive soil and collapsible loess have no obvious reinforcement effect on saturated silt and clay.

The tonnage of the rapid impact compaction is small, but the working hammer falls freely, but it also has the function of hydraulic boosting auxiliary efficiency. The working area of the hammer is small, and it will also form a larger impact (the compaction force of individual large rapid impact compaction machines will exceed that of small hydraulic tamping machines), Therefore, rapid impact compactor are also called hydraulic compactors or light hydraulic compactors.

High amplitude and high frequency compaction modes are possible
