However, due to the narrow construction scope on the back of the bridge and culvert, the use of large compactors will easily affect the nearby subgrade structures. If small compaction equipment is used for construction, the compaction degree of the roadbed is difficult to meet the standard, and the overall construction is very difficult. Rapid impact compaction technology can solve this problem very well. The rapid impact compaction raises the rammer to a certain height through the hydraulic cylinder, and then releases it quickly to accelerate the fall under the combined action of gravity and hydraulic accumulator. When the rammer falls behind, it hits the static pressure tamping plate with a buffer pad on the ground, and the vertical impact force is transmitted to the ramming plate, and the ground is vigorously tamped by the ramming plate.
The rapid impact compaction is mounted on the boom of a common loader. Using the movement of the loader and the flexibility of the boom, different working positions can be compacted, and the construction ground can be compacted in a single point or continuously. Rapid impact compaction is suitable for projects with narrow construction surfaces such as the back of highway bridges and culverts. The use of hydraulic tamper technology can effectively strengthen the compaction of the bridge subgrade, avoid the impact of the excessive impact force of the rammer on the surrounding of the subgrade, and effectively deal with the safety problem of bridge jumping.
In engineering applications, the rapid impact compactor has the advantages of large ramming energy and convenient operation, which can effectively compact the backing subgrade with large thickness, reduce subgrade delamination and improve operation efficiency. On the other hand, the rapid impact compactor can also effectively improve the compactness of the subgrade on the back of the platform. Due to the large ramming energy and small ramming area, the hydraulic tamper can realize the reinforcement of the back of the table and improve the stiffness of the back of the table, thereby reducing post-construction settlement, ensuring the construction quality of road and bridge joints, and improving the performance of expressways. Due to the flexible operation of the rapid impact compactor, it can compact the subgrade in narrow areas such as high-fill embankments, side slopes, road shoulders, etc., and improve the compactness of the overall subgrade.
Work point layout
The operation point layout adopts the gap type, there is a certain distance between the edges of the tamping points, and the equilateral triangle points are used. The ramming width of the abutment back is the full width of the roadbed.
How to operate a hydraulic compactor
The straight-line single-point operation method is adopted. After compacting one compaction point, the compactor moves backward or forward to another compaction point for compaction.
Number of tamping hammers
Before the rapid impact compaction is running, more than three points should be selected for trial tamping, with a total of 3 hammers each time. In order not to damage the abutment structure, theoretically, the edge of the structure is 50cm without ramming, the first row of ramming points on the edge of the structure adopts the second-speed ramming, and the other ramming points use the third-speed ramming. During the tamping process, the number of working hammers of the rapid impact compaction machine is accumulated by three hammers. Then, after three hammers, six hammers, nine hammers, twelve hammers and fifteen hammers, we tested the settlement and compaction degree of the subgrade on the back of the platform respectively. Therefore, the number of hammers can be reasonably selected according to the test, and the construction technology of the tamper suitable for the engineering construction can be proposed.
Fill thickness
The height of the abutment is 4m, and it is filled in layers, and the thickness of each layer is 2m. The compaction degree is convenient to detect and the compaction effect is good.
